Although the calender would indicate that I am a grown up and the mirror would certainly confirm it. Can I admit to feeling so happy today that I want to skip down the road?
I have just had the most wonderful trip to London with M and it has filled me with so many good memories and so much inspiration that it will take me a few days to process the whole experience.
We had a whole week to explore and although we saw lots we only touched the surface of all the possibilities that there are to enjoy. For those of you who live in London I both envy and pity you. Envy for the abundance of things to do and see but how I would hate to have to squeeze onto the tube every day to and from work.
Despite some misgivings about using the tube, best avoided at peak times it is of course a brilliant way to zip along to different bits of London to explore. We got an Oyster card for the week which meant we could travel anywhere in London on buses or the underground without queing for tickets everywhere and it was a cheaper option. But what surprised me was that with a good map it was quite easy to navigate around by avoiding the busy streets and cutting across the parks to quite a few places.
I will share some of the highlights over the next few days.
Warm wishes

P.S the photo above is from The Garden Museum just south of the Thames, it is housed in an old church. There was an exhibition about Beth Chatto the gardener on. In the cafe you can eat delicious home baked cakes and watch them being made too if your lucky like we were. It is a lovely tranquil place perfect for taking a break from the hectic bits of London.
